The right route for an existing policy

Start with the task you need. Payments and claims are handled by the insurance company that issued the policy; Valley West Insurance can help you identify the right next step.

Account access

Open the client portal

Use the third-party client portal associated with Valley West Insurance for available account-service features. Availability depends on the carrier and policy.

Billing and losses

Carrier payment or claim

Use the insurer shown on your declarations page, billing notice, insurance card, or carrier application. The issuing insurer controls billing and claims.

Existing policy

Request policy help

For a vehicle, address, mortgagee, certificate, coverage, or other policy request, contact the agency. A request alone does not change coverage.

New coverage

Request a new quote

A quote request is separate from service on an existing policy and does not create or bind coverage.

If a loss just happened

Call 911 for an emergency or immediate danger. When it is safe, take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage, document the condition, and contact the insurer shown on the policy or insurance card. Do not put yourself at risk and do not discard damaged property before the insurer gives instructions.

Customer-service questions

Where should I make an insurance payment?

Pay the insurance company that issued the policy, using the billing route shown on the policy documents, invoice, carrier application, or authenticated carrier account. Valley West Insurance is an agency, not the insurer or payment processor.

Who decides an insurance claim?

The insurer that issued the policy investigates the claim and decides coverage and payment under the policy. Valley West Insurance can help a customer locate the carrier and understand the next contact step, but the agency is not the claims adjuster.

Does sending a policy-change request make it effective?

No. A request is not proof that coverage changed. The insurer or authorized representative must confirm the change and effective date in writing. Review the updated declarations, endorsement, binder, or policy document.

Can I send sensitive information by ordinary email?

Do not send Social Security numbers, payment-card or bank information, passwords, medical records, or full policy documents through ordinary email. Call Valley West Insurance for the appropriate secure route.

Valley West Insurance, Inc. is a licensed Nevada insurance agency, not an insurer, claims adjuster, or payment processor. Coverage, billing, claims, changes, effective dates, and policy terms are controlled by the issuing insurer and written policy documents.
